Second repotting to straighten surface roots and lower tree into pot. Also rewired tree. Notice the additional branches and branch development compared to the picture above. January 2003

The tree was allowed to grow out all of 2002 to create new branches and a new top to style. As you can see the top had been pruned and jins were created.

Here is the tree about 2 months after it was collected. I set the pot in a tub of water to help promote root growth.
This doesn’t work for very many types of trees, however pond (and Bald) cypress love it.
